The French word "giclee" is a feminine noun that means a spray or spurt of liquid (ink).
My original paintings are scanned using a large format Cruse scanning system, currently the finest scanning technology in the world.This is the same scanner technology used by the Vatican, the Archives at Versailles, and the National Archives Museum of London.
Using professional IRIS, state-of-the-art printers and archival inks, each giclée is printed on premium gallery wrapped canvas (wrapped all the way around a 1.5" frame, ready to hang) or museum quality watercolor paper (Cut edges with a 1" border, ready to frame). Each print is coated with a fine art UV protectant.
Hand-Embellishing: The Creative Edge
Each limited edition giclée print is personally embellished with intricate, artful accents and details throughout the entire piece. My signature impasto textures, dramatic effects and brush strokes are added back into the image using the same paints, brushes and colors that were used in the original paintings.
Hand embellished fine art giclée prints are painstakingly and artistically enhanced by the artist's hand. For this reason they are more valuable and cherished by galleries, museums and art collectors alike.
Note: To offer you, the collector more flexibility in ordering, a variety of sizes are available. In order to keep the value and integrity of the piece at the highest level possible, there will only be 99 giclée prints of a signed work ever made.
Your giclée is specially created when you order it. Due to the artistic process involved with each hand-embellished giclée, please allow 4-5 weeks processing and drying time.
All prints will be shipped using Fed Ex Ground delivery. Approximate shipping rate is $15-$35 per print depending on size. Delivery time to most U.S. destinations is 3-5 business days.
